Tryout for coed or all girl team in college?

try out for both and let the coaches pick for you.
all girl may be easier for you since i've heard gymnasts who become flyers have an issue with not trying to balance themselves. with COED if you try to balance yourself even just a little bit, you are falling.
I would say coed if you want to be a flyer, since you are more likely to be a good base or back in an all girl team, and having more competition for base/back in coed should make it so that you are more likely to get your flyer role :)
All girl imo, just feels right to me
Why does that "feel right" to you?
It just does. I'd feel more in-place and comfortable in a girls only team. But that's just me
What style of stunting have you been practicing? Do you have coed experience or All Girl primarily? What are the suggested stunting skills for each team listed?
Look up each team on youtube, etc. and see what they look to be doing skills wise to get a better idea of if you would better fit one vs. the other. All girl will technically have more spots available for girls than coed will for girls...
I'm not sure of your stature & the college you are looking to tryout, but the standard to be a Coed flyer will differ depending on how competitive it is to make the team.
i’m 5’3”, around 117lbs, and trying out at UVa. I’ve done a bit of stunting with both but wouldn’t say I have experience in either. Is coed generally more competitive than all-girl? Is one considerably harder than the other or are they just different?
Coed is usually the "premier" team of D1 schools. It is often times more competitive as there are limited female spots on the team & generally the flyers will be very tiny for Coed stunting (though this will depend on the school and team....they need mid level pyramid flyers as well as top level pyramid flyers, so it just depends on who fits the puzzle best to make a full team). The stunting is not necessarily "harder", but it is a different skill set in terms of how to hold your weight and partner.
If you must choose between the two & are not confident yet in your stunting skills, then All Girl is probably a safer bet at your height as a relatively new flyer (as you will be competing with existing team members as well as new recruits).
I went with coed because the stunts felt easier
Proba ly be the same lol
