Tourist spot

Kanagawa is blessed with beautiful coastlines, green mountains and lakes with clear water. The change of seasons can be observed from various settings, not only in the wild, but also in parks, Japanese gardens, temples and shrines. Sea-bathing and marine sports can be enjoyed on the Miura peninsula and Shonan beach as well as other outdoor activities in Tanzawa, Oyama and Hakone.

In Kanagawa old towns like Kamakura and new international, industrial cities such as Yokohama and Kawasaki coexist. In Kamakura, well known Diabutu and numerous temples and shrines attract many tourists. From Kawasaki and Yokohama advanced technologies as well as new Japanese culture such as animation, soccer, Ramen noodles, and others have been introduced to other countries.

It is easy to visit on a day trip from Tokyo, adding another ‘charm’ point to Kanagawa.
