Special product

There are many historical handicrafts in Kanagawa, such as Yosegi-zaiku (mosaic work) in Hakone, Kamakura-bori (wood carving) in Kamakura, silk scarves in Yokohama and Kumihimo (braid work) in Tsukui. Motomachi, a shopping street in the port city of Yokohama was established for foreign residents, where Yokohama brand products were made such as western style furniture, lace, fashion goods and others.

Kanagawa is rich in seafood and agriculture products. Various processed foods are made such as pickles, dry fish, Odawara kamaboko (boiled fish paste) and many other items.

Delicious sake and local beers are produced using fresh water. Elegant traditional confections are locally made also.
